Would not recommend. If you'd still like us to look at it, we be happy to assist you.Kind Regards,Rick"Once again you are coming up with excuses not fix the poor workmanship. Your comment about "prior damage" is completely false. If this were true why didn't you make a note of this prior to the repairs, well that is because there is no record of any prior accidents with my vehicle. Furthermore, when I returned to your shop to report the problems this claim of "Prior Damage" was not raised. The only thing you told me was " The claim was closed and insurance would not pay for more work"

I had a really positive experience at Simplicity. Highly recommend for someone like myself who doesn't know how most car stuff works! The team was professional and thorough, explaining each process clearly, and helping to answer questions about my insurance claim. The work on my car was well done—repairs were completed on time, and the quality was solid. I returned later for a tire change and rims; pricing was fair with no surprises.

Rick and the team were great. Took care of everything and even things I was not aware of. Customer service was some of the best I have experienced in dealing with anything auto. Unfortunately we found our selves in need of a body repair after a minor fender bender last summer while on vacation in New Brunswick.Our insurance carrier Economical gave us a choice of several shops to have the repair performed. We chose Simplicity Stittsville as it was the closest to our home. When I contacted them I spoke with the Service Manager Rick. He took our information ordered the parts and when they arrived scheduled our repair. Upon dropping our CRV we were met by Enterprise rental agent who drove us to their agency and fixed us up with a nice new vehicle similar in model to ours. Simplicity repaired our vehicle in less time than estimated. The work was performed perfectly bringing our vehicle back to new condition. At that time Rick informed me that they performed other mechanical service repairs and if we chose to use Simplicities services again they would willing and able to perform the work.Again, unfortunately last winter I decided to clean our CRVs back up camera lens with a with a soapy sanitary wipe. This was a mistake as the end result was a permanently foggy view from the back up camera. Let this be a lesson learnt to never use an alcohol wipe to clean any cameral lens.Since we have now become dependent on this device, I contacted Simplicity again for an estimate on parts and labour. When we met Rick he initially tried a clean solution repair, unfortunately this was unsuccessful.As in the first instance Rick ordered the parts and the Simplicity performed the repair at the time and cost estimated.When I dropped the CRV for the repair the Cameron the Simplicity owner happened through the reception area. Cam took the time to thank me for returning to Simplicity Stittsville for the repair.Thankyou to the team at simplicity for a job well done.Regards Jim O'Shea

Amazing auto body shop! I was hit really bad in an accident in March and my car needed a lot of work. I was nervous to trust anyone with my car as it was so new (12,000km) and the accident was very traumatic and caused a lot of anxiety. Rick was absolutely amazing! He phoned me right away when receiving the car and put me at ease. He frequently called me during the repairs to update me and always answered all my questions. Very kind and transparent! The repairs were very fast compared to other wait times I’ve heard due to supply chain issues. When I pulled into the shop to pickup my car I couldn’t believe it. My car looked brand new again! My biggest worry was the paint colour as I have a limited edition red. They blended it so amazing I couldn’t even tell the difference! So so so thankful for them. 10/10 recommend anyone to go see them for great, honest work! Thank you Rick and team so so much!

I was very unsatisfied with my recent experience at Simplicity Car Care Ottawa West. I was required to pay a cancellation fee of almost $900, to opt NOT to have my car repaired.My insurance company sent me to Simplicity to have an estimate done to repair damage done to my 2017 Subaru Forester from the hail storm in August. Understandably, due to the number of cars damaged in the storm, the repairs weren't completed immediately and in the interim I made the decision to sell the vehicle. I reacher out to my insurer on December 13th to find out what steps would need to be taken to cancel the repair scheduled for January 9th. It is my understanding that the insurer reached out to Simplicity on December 28th to address the issue as the insurer had previously advanced Simplicity the payment for the anticipated repairs. I was told it would be up to me to negotiate and pay any cancellation fees prior to having my claim paid out. That same day I also received an email from Rick at Simplicity to confirm the repairs would be going ahead as anticipated. I let Rick know that the repairs would not be taking place due to the sale of the vehicle and inquired as to what a cancellation of the repairs would entail. At this time I was told there would be significant cancellation fees but no amount was provided.Not having heard back from Rick as to the amount of cancellation fee, I visited Rick at his premises on December 29th. He explained that he already purchased parts and that he already booked a specialist to come in to repair the dimples caused by the hail. It turned out that the parts purchased, was actually one part, being the left rear tail light assembly. He agreed at that time to get back to me with a firm amount to resolve this issue, which he did on January 2nd, the amount of the cancellation fee was $856.87 which included about $400 for the part that was purchased and not returnable.I requested that if I was required to pay for the part, I would like to pick it up and have the option of reselling it to recover some of the cost. Upon returning home from picking up the taillight, I noted that the box was marked with a "Tran Date" of December 29, 2023. This "Tran Date" on the label is subsequent to the date that Simplicity was informed that there was an issue with the scheduled repair.I was surprised that body shops do not have relationships with their vendors that would allow the return of a frequently sold part such as a tail light. I was also surprised that the parts (especially those that can not be restocked) would be purchased so far in advance of the anticipated repair date.Rick said that he already scheduled a specialist to remove the damage from the hail storm and that there would be a cancellation fee for the subcontractor as well which was about $300. There has been enough damage done to vehicles across the city from that same hail storm, that I find it difficult to understand how a specialist in that business cannot just schedule another job with 12 days notice. At the time the estimate was made, Rick had mentioned that the hail storm caused enough damage to keep the specialist busy with repairs for 3 years. I know many automobile owners who would be thrilled to get their hail damage repair done sooner than later.Unfortunately, as I had already made arrangements to sell the vehicle, I had to pay the full $857 cancelation fee in order to settle my claim with the insurer as the funds were needed for the purchase of the new vehicle and they required me to settle with Simplicity prior to the claim being paid out.I feel that the amount of the cancellation fee of almost $900 was quite a lot to pay to NOT have your vehicle repaired with almost 2 weeks advance notice to the shop and I am very concerned by the date on the shipping label on the part that was subsequent to Simplicity being alerted to the cancellation of the repairs. I am hoping that by providing this review potential customers can be aware that Simplicity charges such significant cancellation fees before booking services.

Just had my car fixed through insurance at simplicity, good communication from the beginning. It did take a while for the parts to come in but as soon as they did come in it was fixed within 4-5 days. They organized for me to get a rental through my insurance and I was able to leave my rental there at the end and they called enterprise for it to be picked up. Overall very happy with the service.

Did a good job on car repair as far as I can tell. No contact or info about the repairs or remaining time required for a long time and I had to pick up at a different location. Some difficulty getting VW parts, but after 7 weeks it was done.

I recently brought my vehicle to Simplicity Car Care Ottawa West for repairs following a car accident. Cam was absolutely fantastic to work with - very competent, friendly, honest and kind. My car sustained some damage to the body and windshield during the derecho storm in May. I brought it to Cam and his team for repairs and I can't say enough good things about the service. Cam was honest and a pleasure to deal with, it was clear he wanted to ensure great service for his customers. The repair job turned out great as well, they were able to match the paint colour perfectly and my car looks exactly how it did prior to the storm! I would definitely go back here for any future car repair needs.

He was very professional, he called me and provided updates about each stage of the process so I knew exactly how long it was going to take. He did his job on time and I am very satisfied with the quality of it. Following an encounter with a badly placed telephone pole, Simplicity fixed the rear body work and replaced the broken light fixture and all looks as good as new! As a returning customer, Cameron is always a pleasure to deal with - very professional, friendly and extremely accommodating! Cameron at Simplicity was excellent to work with. We were rear-ended in February and because of supply chain issues the work on our car was very slow. We were first sent through our insurance to a Simplicity Car Care centre in downtown Ottawa and the technician told us (after meeting with us and assessing the damage) that he would be in contact with us in a week to arrange repairs. Two weeks went by and we hadn't heard anything. So we called, turns out that place permanently closed. . . .(?). So we were redirected to the Ottawa West Location. Not only was Cameron very apologetic about the other location closing (not his fault at all), he was also completely upfront about the realistic wait times for the parts that we needed. He kept in contact with us for the whole two months that we were waiting for the parts and updated us every few weeks to tell us that he hadn't forgotten about our car. When the parts did arrive, one piece arrived damaged. Cameron called us as soon as he noticed and told us that he had rush ordered the specific piece. Then, Cameron went above and beyond and reached out to local dealerships to see if any of them had the part he needed. He ended up driving to a dealership and picking up the piece for us so that we could have our car back before the weekend. We had an excellent experience with Cameron and if we ever need detail work or repairs done (hopefully not though!), we will bring it here. We didn't have to worry about the rental car or anything to do with insurance, he took care of everything for us. Overall, though it sucked to have been rear-ended and have our car out of commission, Cameron made the experience simple and easy for us.

Cam was really terrific to deal with. I found him to be straightforward and honest. I brought my son’s car into Simplicity after a small accident. His team repaired and painted the damage. The car now looks perfect. Awesome paintwork. Cam even offered to come pick up the car if I was too busy to get it to him. Great small business guy.
