Worst place I’ve worked with. I came in for an estimate and was told multiple times that the “boss” would call me back, but I never received a single call. When I followed up myself, the staff did not seem interested in helping and said they were too busy with appointments. If you’re unable to handle the volume of appointments, then they should be managed better or turned away rather than leaving people without any follow-up. This place is a joke , hire a receptionist

I had a terrible experience with Simplicity Car Care, and I truly regret taking my vehicle there. If I had checked the reviews beforehand, I would never have chosen this place. Many reviews describe exactly what I went through.They first told me the repair would take 3–4 days, but it ended up taking 40 days. Every time I asked for an update, they gave excuses:“Parts didn’t arrive,” “The wrong parts came,” “Our staff is sick.”It was always something. And they constantly said, “We’ll call you tomorrow,” but they never called.My rental coverage ended, so I had to take Uber everywhere, even when picking up my car. When I arrived, another customer was arguing with the staff, saying he hadn’t received any updates for over a month and still couldn’t get his car back.The staff told me to sign paperwork, and when I asked where my car was, they just pointed outside and said, “Over there on the street.” My six-month-old car was left outside, covered in snow, completely neglected.This shop was recommended by my insurance company, but I highly advise others not to use this place. I had one of the worst service experiences here.

Staff is very knowledgeable and very friendly.My vehicle came back perfect. For the most part I am very satisfied and would use them again.The only thing was the length of time it took. I was told 8 or 9 business days and it took 1 month and 4 days.I don’t know this industry so maybe it’s how it works 🤷🏻‍♀️My vehicle looks great so I would use them again

My experience with Simplicity was 5 star.My 2001 vehicle was involved in a minor fender bender. The challenge was locating parts to complete the repair.The job was at a point the insurance company was prepared to pay me for the illusive part.Marcel Cote went above and beyond and was finally able to track down the one missing part of the three required.My car looks amazing.Thank you to the entire Simplicity team.

I had an excellent experience with Simplicity Car Care Calgary South. The admin was very nice and accommodating, and they fixed my glass breakage immediately. My car was released looking like new, fully detailed and spotless. They provided a new glass with warranty and communicated directly with my auto insurance provider, making the process smooth and stress-free. Their team was efficient, responsive, and genuinely caring. I’ll definitely choose them again in the future!

Like all the other terrible reviews from the past few months - it took an outrageously long period of time for them to finish the job. I was told "2 weeks" and specifically chose this body shop because I desperately needed my vehicle for work and they said they would be able to finish in a reasonable amount of time. Absolutely not. It took over TWO MONTHS. C'mon. It was a small repair. "We couldn't get the parts", "I forgot to order the parts", "they're on the way from Winnipeg", "they're on the way from California", "our tech is sick", "our detailer's kid is sick" - the number of different excuses they peddled were incredible. The worst part and what makes this shop really unprofessional is that they NEVER phoned me - even when they said they would. I constantly had to phone them and chase after them for some semblance of an update. If you're overbooked, understaffed, have poor estimate times or distributors - fine. Own it. At least be honest. I was given the run around and a bunch of lies right from the get go.

This bodyshop is probably one of the worst I ever had to deal with. They didn’t order any of the parts until after I dropped off the vehicle for repairs. So instead of the originally promised 10 business days for the repairs, it took them more than 2 full months! They never provided updates or anything on the delays! They just kept giving me wrong timeline estimates week after week! I had to call them almost weekly because they never communicated with me! And every week it was another excuse! They also gave me the car with the wheel arch trim literally popping out of its place after they tried to TAPE IT WITH DOUBLE SIDED TAPE instead of reaching out to me or the appraiser or insurance to explain that the insurer didn’t approve the original part and so the part they ordered didn’t fit properly. Now I have to AGAIN work with the insurer to get an original part approved, which they approved in a matter of MINUTES, then drop the car AGAIN at the shop to have the part replaced! It will now take another week, if not more, for them to order the part and replace it! God knows how long this is going to take them! This made me extremely concerned about the quality of the other parts they replaced and the overall repair! What else are they TAPPING! Why couldn’t they bring this up with me or the insurer when the issue actually occurred, rather than as I was picking up the car after months of delays! The guy at the body shop kept trying to downplay their horrible customer service and told me I you won’t notice this issue only when I take the car to the car wash! Just horrible all around! Never again.

Similar to another review posted about this shop.I do NOT recommend using this shop if you have any other options available.They have had my car now for almost 2 months for repairs through my insurance...two weeks of them having my car and nothing had even been looked at .. I constantly called for updates. They never once called me.I was then told finally that it's 2 weeks to finish the repair. I call the day I'm supposed to pick up and get told a part wasn't ordered in. Then I call the Tuesday after to be told they're assembling and forgot to order MORE parts. This place is an absolute joke and the management is clueless.The ONLY person I can say that has a brain in their head is Elle. If it wasn't for her, I don't believe that place would honestly be operating.

Poor communication, very long process with ongoing reasons for extensions, offset by a positive recovery attempt for the negative experience has resulted in this 3 star review. This would have been 1 star had there not been intervention and a direct call from their GM paired with a recovery solution for the prior negative experience.The work they did was good, but there were ongoing “new parts needed” but I always had to call in to get that update, which was very frustrating. Also a few times staffing issues leading to slower completion of repairs drove longer turn times.Overall be prepared to need to follow up with them vs getting proactive (ore even reactive..) updates and initial time estimates for service completion could be much longer.This shop could be 4-5 stars easily with better communication of updates, and additional/reliable staffing to handle the workload & remain efficient.

Do not recommend. Recently went back to Simplicity and chose this location out of the options from my insurance company as it was the closest. It took 2.5 months to get in, although this wasn't their fault as every other shop in town was equally as long or longer. Once I got in, they took 7.5 weeks to fix a simple bumper. Every week I called for an update (and it was always me calling them, not the other way around) they had an excuse. Employee was sick and nobody else could do it. Wrong part came in etc. Every time I called the employee on the other end of the line sounded mad. While they were waiting on the bumper part they failed to also fix the damaged wheel and didn't actually start on it till 6 weeks into the job which further delayed the entire process. This was incredibly inconvenient and painful. The only saving grace was that because it was an insurance claim, insurance paid for my rental and when I had maxed out the rental, they were able to back charge Simplicity for the cost. I finally picked up my vehicle at 96% completion with the promise that once they got the final part in, they'd fix it. 2 months later and they still have made no progress. Do not recommend!!! If you are going through an insurance claim pick another shop or another location. It seems like this one is very poorly managed.

They did an amazing job repainting the hood of my car! I went in with a noticeable rock chip, and they fixed it quickly and flawlessly. The before and after pictures truly show their excellent work.

Doesn't care about the public. I have to walk my daughter through this jungle of weeds, thistles and garbage every day. Complaints have been made and ignored. They Simply don't care about their community.

Slow, disorganized, lost the schedules, no updates and no calls to indicate delays. When the work was finally finished, they missed some items and I asked them to email me to make sure we had it on record. They forgot to do that too and I had to call to remind them. Also means I have to bring the vehicle back again.

I'm very happy with the service I received at this location! I hadn't dealt with this company before but my insurance company recommended them and they did not disappoint! The repairs on my vehicle were very well done and completed in a timely manner, and the staff even went above and beyond to help me transport my vehicle due to not being able to drive after a surgery. Will not hesitate to use them again in the future!

My girlfriend dropped her car off on March 24th 2025…. The car is nowhere close to being completed… excuse after excuse, no definitive answers from anyone… shop is absolutely useless… saying it’s going to be another week since the person who is working on the car is “sick”? Okay get someone else to work on it … you’ve had the vehicle in your possession for over a month and nothing??? Figure it out.. absolutely brutal customer service on the phone also.. DON’T BRING YOUR CAR HERE IF YOU'RE EXPECTING FAST TURNAROUND

Insurance repair booking took 1.5 month to get an appointment and the car was in the shop then they said the parts ordered were wrong. Was told it would be another week to get a new part in. Not recommended. stay away

This has got to be the worst non existent service I've ever had. I went in to get my car estimated for an insurance claim back in January, and this shop never sent the estimate over to my insurance after 3 whole months. I've called the shop to follow up, but they said the delay is over on the insurance side. Months later after multiple times following up with my insurance company, it turns out, this shop never sent over the estimate to get approved for my claim because they were 'missing photos.' The shop is supposed to follow up with me to get the 'missing photos', but they never followed up with me. Imagine my frustration having to wait this long to get my car fixed, and still waiting...

The team at simplicity is wonderful. I called and had an estimate booked, it was fast and pricing was spot on. Samantha was very transparent with me throughout the process and gave a variety of options. The communication through Karina in the front office was amazing as well. We ended up getting the repair done and it was good as new.Thanks again!

NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL. They don’t care about the business, won’t take any responsibility for their job. I wish I could give them 0 star. Samantha Belanger is the GM, she is so rude and not doing her job professionally. Same as her staff, Thomes . I had the worst experience with them. They ordered a wrong part for my car then they realized that they were supposed to order something else…. Surprisingly Samantha did not care at all.Folks, do not go to this place. They are not reliable.

Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere!Extremely poor service. My car was in the shop for 2.5 months with zero to no answers throughout. They tried to pass off something not being repaired as a manufacturing issue that was clearly caused by the accident I was in.. after pushing back they repaired it.. as they should have just done initially. I FINALLY got my car back, and they still have not repaired what they should have but claim "they fixed it". I have photos from before and after and there is no change. After picking up my vehicle I have discovered the sound in my vehicle now does not work.. when there were zero previous issues with it... so I have to drive around with zero sound. All around a horrible experience!I highly highly recommend going anywhere else and if your insurance company suggests this shop, ask for other options.

Hello. I strongly do not recommend using the services of this company. Briefly summarize my situation.I had a collision in a parking lot on August 25. I immediately filed an insurance claim. After receiving an estimate from the insurance company on the 30th I booked a day with Simplicity Car Care Calgary South where I could leave my car for repair. The repair day turned out to be a month later on September 25, as they assured me that they needed time to order the parts. Well, with a damaged car I am waiting for the appointed date and on September 25 I left my car, it was agreed that they will do the repair in 5 days, in the end they did it in 16, because they did not order the parts for the previous month. Not only that they repaired three times longer than the stated time, but they did not repair the side view mirror. There was a crack on the housing, but they assured me that they would replace it within 1-2 weeks. As a result, 20 days have passed since then, they are silent and are not going to repair what they were obliged to do.I do not recommend using the services of this company.

UPDATE My update is due to the owners response to my review.The owners response have multiple false statements and I truly believe you should be accountable to your actions.How you handled my situation and treated me is why I’ve given your shop a bad review.You congratulated myself on being your “first” customer to refuse paying “my” deductible. In regards to this statement yes I absolutely refused to pay you what you asked as I was actually informed by my insurance company to not pay anything out of pocket. I was not required to pay any deductible actually due to the reasoning of why my vehicle was in your shop. The paperwork states this very clear.You’ve also mentioned that I “snatched” my keys for my vehicle and drove away “frantically” this is another false statement.Your employee actually handed me my keys so I could install my car seats for my kids as my rental was needed to head back to their shop as their purpose was now complete. Your employee was also currently busy with another customer. So yes I was actually quite thankful that I could install the car seats while waiting next in line.As I walked to my vehicle to install my car seats right away I seen all the damage on my vehicle which was completely neglected.As per your other statement of “completing repairs on my vehicle in good faith and honesty” I do not agree with as there was so much damage neglected as your staff did not complete the job successfully.I had brought this concern to your attention and you stated that all repairs were complete. We walked to my vehicle together so you could inspect what I was referring to. You actually tried denying all this damage from the reason to why it was brought in in the first place. Then you actually went back on your word as all the evidence is right there in front of you.You had then told me you can repair what’s remaining as you realized that you were wrong and this needed to be fixed.You had spoken with your employees in the back and you guys decided it would take 15 minutes to repair. I know that is all false information as it wasn’t possible due to the extent of the damage. Therefore you were willing to continue to lie and provide terrible service.You’ve mentioned you would appreciate the “same level of honesty in return” however I’m not that type of person to lie and not take accountability for my actions therefore you are getting the response I’m giving you as I believe I’ve been nothing but kind and truthful to you and your entire staff.Your final statement you say that you’re happy you were able to “complete” the job and my insurance company was happy, this is all false information.You did not complete the job as my vehicle was removed from your care by my insurance company and placed in the care of another shop. You were actually under investigation due to the extent of everything that was taking place. Once this was settled it took an additional five days to complete this job and cost an additional $2000+Now you’ve asked myself “for in future, please be respectful to any business that helps myself”I am probably one of the most genuine kindest people you will ever meet. However I am very bold and will say it for how it is and I will call you out for something that is wrong.So perhaps for in future, you should take a step back, re evaluate the situation and look at it from a different perspective.Live up to your company name “simplicity car care” if you actually put more care into the simplicity of life you would get the respect and honesty that you’ve asked for.I would not recommend this shop to anybody. The service was good at the start but as they started repairs on my vehicle everything went downhill.They claimed after a couple weeks my vehicle was 100% repaired and it WAS NOT!! They neglected over $2000 in damages refusing to fix it. They then stated they will finish the repairs and will take 15 minutes.I pulled my vehicle from their shop and took it somewhere else and it ended up being a five day repair.Terrible experience with Simplicity Car Care.

First off Samantha is second to none on customer service and giving an estimate . She was able to give me a quote that stayed in budget and the final product made my vehicle look brand new. They went the extra mile to detail the inside which was amazing. Highly recommend this Autobody shop.

Such a great shop.i had my pick up fixed at this location.Erik did a great job.they set up my rental vehicle.update me regularly with the progress of the work.they even extended their hours just to wait for me cause i’m coming late when I got the vehicle.with regard to the repair. excellent job. just like nothing happen to my vehicle.i had an extra job requested to be done. the side fender fell off. they fixed the side fender and they didn’t charged me for that repair.this shop is highly recommended.thanks erik!Henry P.

Apple Autobody and their staff are the best in town. I had someone hit the back of my CRV. In a days notice, I took it in for appraisal, the following Tuesday they booked me in for the work and my car was fixed on Thursday. The whole experience took less than a week. I highly recommend this shop. Thank you Ray!!
