Simplicity Car Care proudly hosted its highly anticipated 2025 Growth Conference on September 12-13 in Niagara Falls, bringing together franchisees, insurance partners, industry leaders, and guest speakers for a full weekend of strategy, leadership, and innovation.
This year’s theme, Driving Growth Through Innovation and Leadership, underscored Simplicity’s commitment to raising the bar in collision repair while delivering greater value to customers, franchisees, and insurance partners alike.
Day One Highlights: Setting the Stage for Growth
The conference opened with a warm welcome from CEO Paul Prochilo, who outlined the company’s remarkable journey over the past year. Paul highlighted key milestones, including the network’s expansion beyond 100+ locations, the successful launch of Simplicity Truck Care, and operational excellence achieved within the network.
In his presentation, Paul emphasized Simplicity’s vision to remain a leader in customer experience, performance, and innovation. “Our future lies in our ability to innovate, adapt, and keep the customer at the heart of every decision we make,” he noted, underscoring the importance of governance and infrastructure as critical enablers of franchisee success.
Following Paul’s address, President Domenic Ieraci delivered a powerful presentation, The Future of Simplicity Car Care, focused on the network’s growth trajectory. Domenic detailed Simplicity’s achievements:
- A growing national market share
- Outstanding customer satisfaction metrics, with a higher Net Promoter Score
- Strategic expansion into committed insurer capacity agreements, technology enablement, and leadership training initiatives.
“Our success is a shared success,” Ieraci emphasized. “Every franchisee in our network is part of a collective that is stronger together than we could ever be apart.”
The morning continued with COO Domenic Prochilo, who delivered his session, Leading with Vision. Prochilo highlighted Simplicity’s relentless pursuit of operational excellence, showcasing results such as:
- Cycle times 35% faster than the industry average.
- 85% of drivable repairs completed within 7 days.
- Continuous investment in process standardization and leadership training.
“Customer obsession is what sets us apart,” Domenic said. “Our operational discipline ensures that every Simplifier delivers consistency, efficiency, and excellence — the foundation of sustainable growth.”
Keynote Speaker: General Rick Hillier
The morning’s energy culminated with an inspiring keynote from General Rick Hillier, former Chief of the Defence Staff of the Canadian Forces. Drawing from his decades of leadership, General Hillier spoke on resilience, adaptability, and the power of purpose-driven leadership.
His stories from Afghanistan and his current role as Chair of the Ukrainian World Congress’ Strategic Advisory Council resonated deeply with the audience. “True leadership is about building trust, making tough decisions, and lifting those around you,” Hillier emphasized — themes that mirrored Simplicity’s values of innovation, integrity, and teamwork.
Afternoon Sessions: Technology and the Future of Collision Repair
After lunch, the focus shifted to the future of collision repair and the transformative role of technology.
Todd Richardson delivered his keynote, Driving the Future of Auto Repair: A Hybrid Service Model Powered by AI. He showcased how artificial intelligence and automation are reshaping the industry, blending digital tools with human expertise to streamline intake, repair processes, and customer service. “The future belongs to those who can marry data with human judgment,” Todd explained, inspiring franchisees to embrace AI as a tool to enhance (not replace) their capabilities.
Darren Swanson followed with Organizations Built for the 21st Century. Darren’s talk explored the qualities businesses must adopt to thrive in today’s fast-changing environment: agility, innovation, and a people-first approach. He challenged attendees to think beyond today’s operations and envision their businesses as adaptive, learning organizations ready to meet the challenges of tomorrow.
Spotlight on Financial Leadership
The day also featured insights from Shawn Wilson, Simplicity’s highly regarded Chief Financial Officer (CFO). In his session, Wilson discussed strategies for sustainable financial growth, enhanced governance, and M&A development opportunities for the network. With two decades of financial leadership experience, Wilson provided franchisees with a clear understanding of how corporate financial discipline translates directly into franchisee success and stability.
Franchisee-Centered Innovation: From Training to Marketing
Throughout the conference, Simplicity emphasized its unwavering commitment to franchisee development and support. From Cam Auto training sessions equipping technicians with advanced glue pull repair (GPR) techniques, to the rollout of reputation management tools, and insurer partnerships designed to deliver consistent referral volume, every initiative underscored the network’s “shared success” model.
Celebrating Culture and Community
Beyond the strategy and leadership insights, the 2025 Growth Conference celebrated the culture of Simplicity Car Care, a community of passionate franchisees, dedicated staff, and strong partners. The event included ample networking time, opportunities to share best practices, and moments of celebration for the accomplishments of individual franchisees and the network as a whole.
The conference closed on a high-energy note with Jason Cyrus, Canada’s Stage Hypnosis King, delivering his keynote “Achieve the Unthinkable.” Blending world-class entertainment with a powerful motivational message, Jason showed how imagination, visualization, and the science of hypnosis can unlock untapped potential in both business and life. His electrifying performance kept the audience engaged and inspired, while his practical insights left attendees with real tools to shift mindset, push past limitations, and embrace change. It was a unique mix of laughter, amazement, and empowerment, the perfect finale to an unforgettable day.
From Windsor to Calgary, from Quebec to Atlantic Canada, franchisees left Niagara Falls with renewed energy, a stronger sense of purpose, and practical tools to bring back to their shops.
The 2025 Growth Conference was more than an event; it was a declaration of Simplicity’s leadership in the collision repair industry. By combining operational excellence, customer obsession, financial governance, and cutting-edge innovation, Simplicity continues to redefine what it means to be a collision repair network in Canada and beyond.
As Paul Prochilo summed it up in his closing remarks: “We are not just repairing vehicles, we are shaping the future of car care. Together, as Simplifiers, we are raising the standard for our industry, our partners, and our customers.”
