Company doesn’t pick up cars on their lot, constantly blocks our driveway to pick up/drop off cars. If we had emergency we couldn’t get out. Usually parked 2 to 3 hours. Owner doesn’t take responsibility for cars loading and unloading blames his driver.

Incredibly unimpressed with my repair experience at simplicity in Kingston. All the repairs on my car ended up looking fine, this is not a criticism of the repair quality done, but a criticism of the customer experience with this business.My primary complaint is that when I picked up my car in December, after simplicity had it in their possession for six weeks, I noticed after I left the garage that simplicity had lost my lock nut key. Therefore, when I tried to change over my winter tires, I was completely unable to because I had assumed that all of the parts of my car would be returned to me, which they weren’t. Now here I am in the middle of December and the icy and slushy roads with my summer tires locked onto my car. I have attempted to contact simplicity several times over the last couple days with no answer. I will update my review if this issue gets resolved.Secondly, when I dropped off the vehicle, simplicity stated that they would send me regular updates throughout the repair process and even made to have me provide all of my contact information so that they could send me these updates. I did not receive a single update from simplicity throughout the entire repair process. I had to send them several emails asking for updates on my vehicle in order to get any information. They were much more responsive to these updates, however and I was able to get the information I needed in a timely manner.Overall, my review would have been a 3.5 stars had they not lost my lock nut key. But here we are with a one star review due to the awful situation that simplicity put me in.

Repair to my car was done at Simplicity in Orangeville; they did an excellent job in about a week. Simplicity in Kingston is a satellite ‘in-take’ centre, which transports cars to Orangeville for repairs. Initially, I was hesitant about transporting my car for over 3 hours to Orangeville, but it turned out to be problem- free. If you are comfortable with long distance transportation, then I would recommend using Simplicity at Kingston.

First off, gotta give a big shout-out to Sam. Guy was super helpful and walked me through the whole truck fix — five stars to him and his colleague, no question! 🌟Now, just so folks know: Simplicity doesn’t actually have a shop here in Kingston. They ship your car all the way to Orangeville. Not the end of the world, but you do kinda have to cross your fingers and trust they’ll do a solid job. For me, they just swapped out a part, so no drama. But if it was something they were repairing instead… well, I’m not sure I’d be as chill about it.Because of the whole shipping thing, I only got a call the day before to drop my car off, and then another the day before I could grab it again. Lucky for me, work’s quiet right now so I could roll with it — if I was slammed, it would’ve been a bit of a pain.That being said, they were super easy to reach and always quick to get back to me, which goes a long way.

If I could give zero stars, I would.I had an absolutely terrible experience with Simplicity Car Care in Kingston. After a no-fault accident, my insurance company recommended them. They had my car for two months and never informed me it had been sent all the way to Orangeville.I called multiple times asking for updates. I was promised a call back every time and never once received one.When I finally got the car back, it had no gas in it—I barely made it to a gas station. Even worse, the car now shakes while driving and has multiple new mechanical issues. I contacted them immediately after picking up my vehicle, and they dismissed everything, claiming the problems must have existed prior to the accident. That is completely false—my car was in perfect condition prior to the accident.They refused to take accountability or offer any resolution. This was by far the worst experience I’ve had with a repair shop. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE!

Dealing with this business has been incredibly frustrating. It took over a month from my initial insurance contact just to get a drop-off date. Every time I was given a tentative day, I had to follow up by call, text, and email to get a time; usually hearing back only after business hours, if at all, and often only after the suggested day had already passed.At one point, they asked me to drop my car off with just an hours notice, which I couldn’t do because I was at work. I proposed an alternative time but received no response.On another occasion, I was told I was booked for a Wednesday drop-off and instructed to call Monday (once they reopened) to confirm a time. Instead, the next day, someone else called asking me to schedule a drop-off day. I replied by text (again, I was at work) and explained I’d already been booked for Wednesday, and was just waiting for a time, but got no response. I didn’t hear back until 7 p.m. Wednesday night, after they had already closed; despite trying to get in touch with them. At that point, they tried to push the drop-off another week, but I pushed back and finally secured a Friday drop-off.They also incorrectly labeled my car as “non-drivable” because the hood felt warm—despite it not overheating, having no warning lights, and simply sitting in 30-degree heat in direct sunlight. The actual damage was to the bumper, not the engine.Once I dropped the car off, I was told multiple times the repairs would take a week. On day 5, I asked for an update; no reply. On day 6, they suddenly “discovered” additional damage in the same area that was originally hit and extended the repair timeline by another week, as they have to get approval from insurance and order parts. How this wasn’t caught earlier is beyond me. I’m now heading into week 2 without a vehicle.If you have rental insurance coverage, this is all irrelevant; but if you don’t; I would HIGHLY not recommend. They also do not do the repairs in Kingston, they do them at a garage a few hours out of town, and you don’t get to speak to the shop or a mechanic directly, nor is your car properly or fully assessed before they order the parts; it’s just the general look over on the outside/easily visible damage only.(Obviously not shown here are phone calls that were going on in between)
